Prior to joining the Ohio State School of Music faculty, she was associate director of choral activities and professor of music education at the Conservatory of Music at Baldwin Wallace University. Gabriel was born and raised in Xenia, Ohio. He moved to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University, where he pursued a degree in music education with a focus in voice.
